How To Set Up a Bluetooth Headset for the PS3:
- Install the latest PS3 firmware by going to the "System Settings" menu in the cross-media bar (XMB). Select the "System Update" icon. If you already have the latest firmware, a window will pop up informing you of this
- Go to the "Settings" tab on the XMB. Scroll down to "Accessory Settings."
- Select "Scan for Bluetooth Device" and wait for your PS3 to detect the Bluetooth headset.
- Select "Yes" to register your Bluetooth device. Select the "Start Scanning" option in the next screen
- Enable your Bluetooth headset's "sync," "pairing" or "discovery" mode. The process for this varies, so consult your owner's manual to find the correct process for your device
- Select your Bluetooth device when it appears on the screen. Enter "0000" as your pass key when prompted
- Return to the "Settings" menu. Select "Audio Settings" from the sub-menu and then go to "Input/Output Settings." Your headset will be listed; highlight it and press X to to test the PS3 headset
